All Polk County Master Gardeners are invited to join in at the Volunteer Fair where you can meet the leaders of various projects and learn more about various outreach opportunities in the community. Projects and outreach are where we shine and live out the Master Gardener Mission to "provide current, research-based, home horticulture information and education to the residents of Iowa through ISU Extension programs and projects". This is an ideal time figure out which volunteer opportunities pique your interests and will foster the areas that you wish to develop in as a master gardener. We will also cover how to access the Volunteer Reporting System and recording volunteer hours. Co-Chairs and project leaders are encouraged to set up or host a table to display their project and visit with interns. Mentorship Program is in the works.
